Wayne Montecalvo

Artist & C2C Art Associate Instructor

"I’ve been teaching as an art instructor for a long time, but now I focus on teaching workshops rather than teaching in academic settings. I just like it better. My art making practice these days centers around mixed media, combining painting, photography, collage, printmaking, digital imagery, encaustic paint, acrylic paint, India ink, powdered charcoal, and a lot of other materials to name a few. My approach for working with digital imagery is to push the process to create a unique, one of a kind object. I often embrace mistake making, random marks, and the uncontrollable as part of the process."
